I just went through this process and it was not fruitful. After contacting Microsoft support, they told me that for Windows 10 Enterprise related issues, you have to contact commercial support. We want the IOT version in case of sudden power loss. My understanding is that the IOT version does not require orderly shutdown. A version without the word IOT is susceptible to bricking if sudden power loss occurs. We absolutely want the IOT version to protect against bricking the industrial unit in case of sudden power loss. If someone is not following an exact procedure documented on-line corresponding to the exact hardware they are using when installing to an IOT platform, the result may be a "bricked" non-functional system because of a mismatch in device drivers.
